Filter expression tester

Try a Business Central filter against your own values before you put it in a page filter, report request page or SetFilter call. See which values match, how the expression is read, and the AL to use.

Follows Microsoft's filter syntax: .. range, | or, & and, <> > >= < <= =, * any characters, ? one character, @ ignore case, '…' exact text (an apostrophe inside is written twice) and ( ) to group. Microsoft doesn't document the precedence of & and |; this tool reads & first, like AND before OR, so add parentheses when you mix them. Text and Code ranges follow the database collation, approximated here by an English sort. Date shortcuts that depend on your regional settings or accounting periods (such as 22 or P8) and the optimized text search operator (&&) aren't covered.
