VAT and TDS calculator

Add or remove VAT, then work out the TDS to deduct for the type of payment and what you actually pay. Everything runs in your browser.

Rates for FY 2083/84 under the Finance Act 2083, in force from 17 July 2026. Rates last updated ; each year's Finance Act can change them.

Estimates only, not tax advice. TDS is worked out on the amount before VAT, and the payer deposits it with the Inland Revenue Department within 25 days after the end of the month. Payments made by a person who is not running a business, and interest paid to banks, are exempt from TDS. Rates follow Chapter 17 of the Income Tax Act 2058 as amended by the Finance Act 2083; VAT follows the Value Added Tax Act 2052, whose standard 13% rate was joined this year by a reduced 5% rate for ride-sharing transport and electricity use above 50 units.
