IP address converter

Convert an IP address between dotted, decimal, hex and binary, expand or compress IPv6, check whether an address is in a range, and merge a list of networks into the fewest CIDR blocks. Everything runs in your browser.

An IPv4 or IPv6 address, or the same address as a decimal, hex (0xC0A80101) or binary number.

EXAMPLES

Nothing you enter leaves your browser. IPv6 addresses are shortened the standard way (RFC 5952): lower case, leading zeros dropped and the longest run of zero groups replaced by ::. Merging joins networks that overlap or sit next to each other, then writes each joined range as the fewest CIDR blocks that cover exactly the same addresses, no more.
