AD to BS date converter

Convert an English (AD) date to the Nepali Bikram Sambat (BS) calendar, or pick a BS date to see it in AD.

Bikram Sambat months begin when the sun enters a new zodiac sign, so they run 29 to 32 days and no formula gives their lengths. The Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Bikas Samiti fixes each year's calendar, and this converter looks every date up in a table of those month lengths. Approved years won't change; a projected year can move by a day or two once the Samiti approves it. Nepal's fiscal year runs from Shrawan 1 to the end of Asar. The date you pick isn't sent anywhere: the page downloads the calendar and converts in your browser.
